Does using an attenuator (like the Ballarino BENZO) hurt my amp?
Using an attenuator "feels" the same for the amp as it would when you connect speakers directly to the amp. Running an amp at full power (with or without an attenuator between amp and speakers) may reveal defects or worn components in the amplifier, which would not have been come to light when running at very low power levels. A well-maintained amp will have no problem running flat-out.
